Our beloved llama trips are back for another summer! ESWA will be hosting four trips this year, and they’re already filling up fast.
Each year, ESWA funds the costs of leasing two llamas. These hearty souls help carry gear and refreshments into the more remote reaches of our Wilderness Areas, so ESWA volunteers can help the Forest Service rehabilitate areas in need. It’s much-needed work and great camaraderie!
Details and registration can be accessed through the following links:
July 11 - 13: Lake Charles (Holy Cross Wilderness) - waitlisted
July 25 - 27: Wheeler Lakes (Eagles Nest Wilderness) - 7 spots
July 31 - August 3: Rim Lake (Flat Tops Wilderness) - 2 spots
August 22 - 24: Boulder Lakes (Eagles Nest Wilderness) - 7 spots
Interested in getting more involved?! ESWA is looking for some new llama-trip leaders. No experience required! If interested, please contact Krista Hughes.
