Congrats on two more successful llama-supported backcountry work trips!

ree

Our final two llama trips in the Eagles Nest and Flat Tops Wilderness Areas resulted in:

  • Removing over 50 illegal fire rings and campsites

  • Clearing several dozen logs blocking trails

  • Lopping overhanging brush from miles of trails

Thanks to our intrepid volunteers; our dedicated USFS Wilderness Rangers; trip leaders Dave Brewster, Mike Browning, Jim Chastain, Steve Gray, and Frances Hartogh; and – last but not least – our beloved llamas Archie and Wyatt Earp!

And we did it all without leaving any human waste in the Wilderness. We leave you with this informative article: How to poop outdoors in a way that won't harm the environment and other hikers.
