Please Donate to our 2025 Annual Giving Campaign!

We can't do it without you!

THANK YOU for all you’ve done this year to preserve our priceless Wilderness Areas! Here are a few of your 2025 all-volunteer accomplishments:

  • ESWA Volunteer Wilderness Rangers:

    • Greeted and educated 11,705 day and 889 overnight users

    • Held 388 fire-safety talks

    • Patrolled 3,121 miles

  • 4,500 hours worked in Wilderness by over 200 volunteers

  • 3,234 “behind-the-scenes” volunteer admin hours

  • 616 trees cleared by ESWA Sawyers from 19 Wilderness trails

  • Replaced Missouri Creek bridge and rebuilt Meadow Creek Trail

  • Funded a seasonal USFS Ranger dedicated to Wilderness

  • Helped permanently preserve critical winter bighorn habitat

WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR 2026? Our Wilderness Areas face increasing visitor traffic during a time of budget cuts and staff reductions. ESWA’s Forest Service partners are counting on us, and have requested additional support - including for 4 seasonal dedicated Wilderness Rangers and 2 Wilderness bridge projects. Although our volunteers are our greatest asset, your donations help us procure tools, materials, and labor that our volunteers can't provide.

As an added bonus, any donation made between now and the end of 2025 will be matched by one of our generous members up to a total of $10,000!

Your Donation's Impact

Learn more about your DONATION’S IMPACT here. As an all-volunteer organization, ESWA applies 100% of your donation to directly support our programs. Some key areas of impact are:

  • $1,000 pays for a cross-cut saw

  • $2,500 provides 1st Aid training to sawyers and volunteer rangers

  • $3,500 covers annual cost of the Sawyer program clearing Wilderness trails

  • $5,000 funds Volunteer Wilderness Ranger program for a year

  • $6,000 covers annual cost of our llama-supported backcountry work trips

  • $10,000-$20,000 is ESWA’s cash contribution to major trail/bridge projects

  • $20,000 provides for one seasonal USFS Wilderness ranger

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT OF ESWA’S MISSION TO PROTECT YOUR EAGLES NEST, HOLY CROSS, PTARMIGAN, AND FLAT TOPS WILDERNESS!
