ESWA VWRs HAVE HIT THE TRAILS (AND HOST TABLES)

ESWA’s VWRs have been busy.  As of 8/8/24:

• 84 different VWRs have done 212 unique patrols, hiking 1,327 miles over 1,184 hours, and encountering 7,856 trail users and 664 dogs (73% of whom were oleash – the dogs that is)

• Four VWRs have already done over 10 patrols each, led by Frances Hartogh with 22, followed by Mike Browning, Tom Lawson, and Brad Benz

• 22 different VWRs have done 29 unique trailhead host outings, over 99 hours,

  and talked with 1,117 trail users

• Joan Betz leads the trail hosts with six trailhead host outings over 18 hours

• While impressive, that leaves a lot of VWRs who have not yet met their four patrol and/or THH commitment.  The season is more than halfway done, so put on your boots and get hiking (or sitting)!
