About the event
ESWA will be leading a group of volunteer Sawyers to clear deadfall on the trail between Salmon Lake and Willow Lakes.
We will meet at the Willowbrook TH at 8am
We have already cleared the trail from Willowbrook TH to the Salmon Lake junction. The first tree is 4.6 miles up the trail and the Willow lakes are at 6 miles so this will be a 12 mile round trip hike. There are less than 20 trees with approximately 3 trees needing a two person saw. Therefore, most of the work will be the hike up to the lakes.
Everyone will work at their own place and we'll take plenty of time to enjoy the wilderness. Please bring lunch or snacks and be sure to bring water. ESWA will supply any necessary tools.
IMPORTANT: You must wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy foot ware that is good for hiking while protecting your feet. You must also have some type of eye protection (eyeglasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, etc.), and good gloves. We may have a few pair of gloves to use if you forget yours or don't have any.
