About the event
ESWA will be leading a group of volunteer Sawyers to clear winter deadfall from the North Willow Creek Trail in Silverthorne. This will be a medium difficulty outing primarily due to the 8 mile round trip hike. The trail is clear for the first 3.5 miles and then there are a number of jackstraw piles to clear. We'll clear those and then do some trail widening on our way back to the TH if time and energy permits.
We'll meet at the Willowbrook Trailhead in Silverthorne at 8am.
Everyone will work at their own place and we'll take plenty of time to enjoy the wilderness. Please bring lunch or snacks and be sure to bring water. ESWA will supply any necessary tools and hardhats.
IMPORTANT: You must wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy foot ware that is good for hiking while protecting your feet. You must also have some type of eye protection (eyeglasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, etc.), and good gloves.
Feel free to call or text Zach @ 309-857-6235 with questions.
