Please meet at the Summit County Community Center in Frisco at 8:00am
Join us for the Summit County Community Weed Pull and help protect our beautiful public lands and open spaces! Volunteers will learn how to identify invasive noxious weeds—specifically false chamomile and musk thistle—and then head out to remove them from priority areas. This hands-on stewardship project helps preserve native ecosystems, improve wildlife habitat, and maintain the health of our shared landscapes.
Volunteers will check in at the Summit Community Center to meet their crew leaders and carpool to the designated weed-pull site. All necessary tools and instruction will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm, work gloves, and a readiness to make a positive impact!
Shift description:
Breakfast, snacks, noxious weed education, Weed Warrior SWAG, giveaways, and more! Volunteers will be able to choose various weed pull locations throughout the county.
