About the event
Please join us to perform maintenance work on the Deluge trail in East Vail. This event is held in conjunction with the Sawyer clearing day on the Deluge trail but is a separate event.
ESWA has adopted the Deluge Trail as part of the Vail Valley Mountain Trail Alliance's Adopt-A-Trail program. As part of our commitment to this program, we not only clear the trail of deadfall to the tree line but also perform routine trail maintenance.
The work will consist of cutting back vegetation, clearing out water bars, and other light work. Although this is a pretty steep trail, our trail work will likely be limited to the first mile or two. Our sawyers will go farther up the trail to clear downed trees. We will all meet at the trailhead at 9 am and the trail work will conclude by early afternoon. We will supply all needed tools but bring sturdy boots and good gloves. The trailhead is the same as that for the Gore Lake trail.
