About the event
ESWA will be leading a group of volunteer Sawyers to clear a fallen tree from the
Buffalo Mountain Trail.
The distance is only 1.0 mile roundtrip with a 200 foot elevation gain. The trail has one
known tree down and it requires a crosscut. If we encounter other fallen trees we will
clear them also. Since this is a small job we only need 2 volunteers.
The Trail Lead is Bruce Ruhlin and questions can be addressed to him 713-724-8722.
Everyone will work at their own place and we'll take plenty of time to enjoy the wilderness. Please bring lunch or snacks and be sure to bring water. ESWA will supply any necessary tools.
IMPORTANT: You must wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy foot ware that is good for hiking while protecting your feet. You must also have some type of eye protection (eyeglasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, etc.), and good gloves. We may have a few pair of gloves to use if you forget yours or don't have any.
